The Thabazimbi Tourism Centre is here to provide information (such as trail maps, info about camp sites, guest houses, lodges etc.) and in-depth educational exhibits and artifact displays (for example, about natural or cultural history).

We also provide visitors with information about the area and the different attractions.  Thabazimbi is about 2 hours drive from Pretoria, malaria free, and part of the very special Waterberg Biosphere.  The Thabazimbi Bushveld is a well known Hunting Mecca with a high concentration of hunting farms in the area and ample hunting opportunities to be enjoyed by both local and international hunters.

The Thabazimbi Tourism Centre started as an initiative from Kumba Mine in Thabazimbi as part of their social responsibility. The Centre’s doors opened for business in January 2015. This initiative led to the marketing of Thabazimbi and surrounding areas. The establishments, in and around the Thabazimbi area will be marketed.

We have product owners who sell handmade and local made products.

Our aim is to get the local economy into a positive position and to be able to attract tourists.

It was identified that Thabazimbi can be marketed and promoted as a tourism town.

The centre is adding value through the promotion and marketing of Thabazimbi and surrounding areas in order to attract more tourists.  This will contribute to business growth, local economic growth and job creation.
